Stan had a business trip to Chicago and we decided to make it into a vacation as well. Mom, Dad and I rode with him up to Jenny's house and picked her and Brett up. Then we went on to Chicago. We stayed a few days there and then went back to her house and stayed the rest of the week. Here are some scrapbook pages I did tonight of Brett during that visit.
Kyle is a recruiter for the Air Force. We got to visit him at his office and get the tour!
Whenever Kyle walks in the door, Brett makes a beeline to his Daddy and spends all his time with him. I know he's a good Daddy but I wonder if Brett clings to him based on the 6 mos. Kyle was in Iraq when Brett was a little bitty baby? Could he have any primal need for him based on that? We thought surely he was too little to have much effect. And if it effected him when he was so little, how does it effect the older children of men who have to leave for military duty?
Jenny and Kyle bought a new house and got moved just before our trip to Chicago. We went by and picked Jenny and Brett up so they could stay with us downtown.
They gave us a tour!
They are going to paint the bathroom next.
This is the downstairs den.
This will be their guest room and will be painted after the bathroom. She bought a bed to go in there while we were there.
Downstairs half bath.
The laundry is under the stairs just outside the guest room and half bath.
Jenny's mother, Elaine, had sent a big box of stuff for Jenny and Brett and they had to open it and see what it was!
Brett immediately was awed by the toys from his Grommie!
